I feel pain as the laughter fades,
My momentary relief vanishing, I take notice of what they are.
The cries of my soul, the aching of my heart under the pressure of this reality.
Nothing is more saddening than this truth.
Reaching for something to pull myself above the water, but my hand finds only air.
my lungs feeling heavy, the agonizing feeling of life being drained from me.
I make my wish, a wish to take my soul someplace to start a new life, a better one.
As I close my eyes and let the darkness cover my world, I start to feel numb.
The pain and chilly depths of the waves start to take me.
I smile.
As my conscience slips and I fall into a slumber – I only ever wished, I lived a better life.
